i fell in love with the background music for that flash site.. it's so lovely..

I do hope for a good feel and tone on those guitars!

Tried an NTX700 natural finish in USA. The fretboard is radiused maybe 12" which makes it easy to play. Narrow neck compared to classical may be the first thing people notice but the real genius is the radius fret board. I was looking arounf for the NCX but those things are quite rare and not easy to find around the country. Yamaha seems to be manufacturing them slowly and maybe carefully.
The sound was expected of a thin body guitar and I thought the spruce top sounded too bright. Haven't tried the flame maple (FM) models and I guess I won't like the bright sound too much. Projection was superb! The thin body was louder than a Rodriguez costing twice as much next to it. Very efficient design!

That's the rosewood model? I believe that Yamaha puts Sitka spruce on that model. I haven't tried it for tone quality but the rosewood should sound warmer; the way nylon strings should sound IMHO. I like the combination instead of maple. The NTX 700 I tried had nato sides and back but I think the spruce on that model was just too bright for my taste. I also think that a thin body guitar is meant to be amplified and those guitars sound great when plugged in. My strategy for buying an NTX would be: buy the base model NTX 700. Invest in a DI like LR Baggs para DI. That should be a killer combo for performing with the NTX guitar.
