DESCRIPTION:
This is a very rare high-end Yamaha model handcrafted in Hamamatsu, Japan. It is a full-sized dreadnought acoustic guitar featuring 8 non-scalloped 90-degree X-type spruce braces with rosewood bridge plate for thick and well focused tone. The square bracing design utilizes side braces to connect the brace closest to the sound hole to the rear brace to quickly transmit string resonance to the guitar's back for enhanced bass response. The large LL-36 ebony bridge has increased mass to deliver greater tone through a more efficient transfer of string vibrations to the body of the guitar. This guitar's neck is carved from a single laminated block of two layers of padauk, an extremely hard wood, sandwiched between three layers of mahogany, creating a strong and stable neck, suitable for low string height. The thin neck makes it very easy to play, especially for smaller Asian hands. Recommended string gauge is 12. This guitar has shoulders that are slightly more slender than a standard dreadnought and the body has been designed to be subtly wider (and hence in my opinion, sexier!!), giving the guitar a more definite tone. From headstock to bottom, this guitar is every bit an acoustic work of art, hand-crafted from the finest materials speciall selected by luthiers. Excellent condition except for 1 small cosmetic dent on the back of the guitar which you will be able to see from the second last picture.
