Yup... but before you do make any purchases, please check for anything wrong with the cymbal itself, small scratches, cracks, dings, not explicitly suggesting that there might be any, but there COULD be... seeing how they've been sitting on the cymbal rack for so long before management decides to put them on sale...

The dave weckl snares for sale too... do check them properly to make sure that they're all perfectly straight and that the hoops aren't bent out of shape, and there's no rust or anything... it's been sitting on the shelf for ages.

;)

In addition to what Weckl-X has said, please really do check your purchases carefully. In particular, check the physical condition of the items that you want to buy. My experience with this sale last year tells me that even though the staff would swear that the items are brand-new, it need not be the case....

other than that, its a good time to get some really good bargains.

hey guys,

was at the sale and queued for two hours - the que was already damn long when i got there at eight. dtx 3 sold out before the sale even started! AND the acoustic sets too. oh, well.

acoustic and e-drum kit

haiyah i think they all only have 1 set each on clearance sale.

should have stated clearly made a lot of ppl go there queue for nothing.

You got there at eight and queued for two hours? I got there at ten and queued for 1.5. Queueing to pay was another 30 minutes. Ventilation was bad in the waiting line, bring a fan!

You know what one of the staff told me? That the dude who got the dtx already started queueing yesterday. He deserves it man :D

I almost got the 18" Remix ride (thinking of playing around with a little DnB/electro), the guy behind me beat me to it when I was distracted by the LP tambourines.

Some of the coated heads were 'sticky' again, hope nobody got them. When the coating is in this state, it can practically be scraped off with a finger nail.

The solid top acoustics were really really tempting.

Plenty of LP tambourines left. These are quite a steal, going for $20 each. I picked up one handheld, one mountable, and one J1 etched head to try.

yup, 2 hours, because before ten the que doesn't move so you're stuck there until the sale begins! yeah la that guy deserves it.

i called before going, and the guy told me they had FIVE dtxpress.so i thot got chance. but there was actually only one! tsk. think whoever's going should call first. helps to get the name of the person you spoke to so they won't bluff you about having five sets when they only have ONE. grrr.

Good thinking, skali he might turn out to be the next Akira Jimbo :o

Next time maybe we can prepare promotional leaflets that all of us can carry around, or maybe a .pdf that people can print on their own, to cut cost. More like a guerilla grassroots movement. Easier to share the DXS gospel... Haha.
