A few things to note about the 2013 standard in comparison to the newer 2016 models is that mine does have a long neck tenon like the historics whereas Gibson has gone back to short tenons for the USA standards in 2016.
This guitar also has a 1 piece rosewood fretboard unlike most of the 2012 models and their laminated boards.
This guitar is light and weighs slightly more than 7.5lbs with the modern weight relief, balances perfectly on the thigh without support. Tone is bright, clear and hot with a strong midrange bite when overdriven and strong harmonics. No mud on the neck pickup at all and cuts through well! Comes with factory clean hardshell case, all case candy and tools etc.
