Hi there, I'm looking to sell my Fender MIJ Strat.
This is a piece made in the 1980s as the serial number suggest.
Can't get much info on the guitar as Fender doesn't have info on old guitars.
Quoted from e-mail: "Our serial number database begins in 1993 and this serial number would be from 84-87"
I'm not in a hurry to trade so I'll just see how the response goes.
- It's BLACK BODY with BLACK PICKGUARD.
- Tuners have been upgraded to grovers.
- All screws and strap pins have been replaced with brand new ones.
- Neck has just been straighten with RE-FRETTING done bout a month ago.
- This guitar has 1 volume and 1 tone knob only.
- It's HSS configuration. The single coils have been upgraded to Texas special pups. Humbuckers Gotoh Japan.
- It's in player's condition, so do expect scratches and stuff.
- Pickups has been polished and cleaned too, so rust and oxidation are gotten rid of.
- Saddles are also changed, so yes, there are new.
- Pots are checked, everything set up just a month ago.
The repairs and stuff costed me quite a bit already, so... why do i wanna trade???
Reason for trade: I'm still in my hunt of finding the tone that i like. Have yet to try teles.
I'm looking for MIJ/MIA Telecasters that are prolly in natural color/finish. I'm into their thinline models too so you can hit me if you have one to trade.
Looking for $740 for this piece!
