This is a commemorative Washburn Idol Singlecut type guitar, limited edition 1 of 48. Comes with Buzz Feiten Tuning System for better tuning.
It has a bound, carved top and the revolutionary VCC (voice contour control) , and Grover 18:1 tuners. The set neck allows a slim neck joint and offers comfortable access to the upper register.
The VCC is similar to coil tapping, in that it changes the tone of a humbucking pick-up to that of a single coil, but it does it by turning the tone knob. In doing so the musician can get every sound from the humbucker to the P-90 to the single coil and all points in between, all without the hum normally associated with single coils. Definitely something really advanced thought out by Washburn when they first came up with this system.
