Hello everyone.
I have been contemplating about this advertisement because these are good overdrives in their own right but I have decided to sell them to pursue another sound.
Among other overdrives, both the Keeley-Rat and Hotcake often appeared on the guitarist's pedal-board of some of the well-known bands like Radiohead, Coldplay, Wilco etc. They are often mentioned in forum discussions about the use of overdrives to acquire from good standard tones to unique ones.
For those who are not familiar, here is a video I like on the Hotcake;
I personally love the Hotcake for its warm and round overdriven tones. It excels for single coils guitar and while it is excellent with most amps, it sings at its full potential with Class A tube amps(EL84s). It can do boosts as well if you need a pedal for boosting duties. Its boost adds character and depth to your already-overdriven signal.
With 3 toggle switches, the Keeley-modded Rat gives you a palette of tones to choose from; from 70s Pink Floyd to 90s Foo Fighters to today's Coldplay. Like most electric guitar tones to shine, turning up the amp's master volume helps. That being said, the Phat Rat mode makes your guitar spit fuzz.
If you are interested in stacking overdrives, inject the Rat into the Hotcake. It is like a fragrant and crispy chicken wing top with fresh and hot chili paste. Ever had a wholesome and satisfying Nasi Lemak? This is the guitar version of shiok Nasi Nemak. Haha.
Of course, the Nasi Lemak. HAha! (taken from a website)
Box and manuals are available.
Keeley Rat 2: 170
Hotcake: 150
Both: 310
Text me at 9six266oo7.
I hope to sell these two wonderful overdrive pedals to fund for a G2D Cream-tone. If there are no takers, I do not mind eating shiok Nasi Lemak everyday.
Thank you for viewing!
