The Keeley mod among others addresses these issue by reviving the missing lows to make the pedal fuller sounding also there are tweaks that can be achieved in the clipping section to make it less compressed.
"The BD2 Custom Ghost Driver Mod formula came about because I was trying to achieve a flexibility in the pedal to function either as a clean boost or drive pedal but always maintaining that variable dynamic control.
In low drive settings the Ghost Driver depending how you wish to specify the mod for the mids and lows can achieve the "tweed amp" character very well. In higher gain settings again with a choice of the mid and low eq shapes you are into the DS1 Ultra zone but with the variable dynamic control still there. Thus with the volume knob at your finger tips you can control the Ghost Driver almost instantaneously for that "There...not There" effect. "
It's such a versatile pedal, not just for blues, but everything else!
