Hi, I have an all-original 1991 Made in Japan Ibanez RG550 in Coral Mist. All parts are stock and absolutely no modifications have been done to it. Neck and fretboard is maple. Pickups are the stock V1-S1-V2, etc. Condition is very good, with some minor dings and scratches...befitting a 20 year-old guitar.
However, full disclosure. There is a small crack that runs up from the nut socket that secures the locking nuts behind the head stock. About 1 cm long. I was told that it is common and can be fixed with some wood glue, a clamp and some time. I bought the glue and clamp but I dare not try it cos I'm not that good a handyman. Another thing is that one of the anchoring screws at the bridge cavity is chipped. That also needs replacement. Not expensive though. Please refer to the pictures below for the faults.
If you can see it, the small crack runs from the nut on the right side behind the neck upwards. The crack is closed but it'll be better if it's sealed. I'll give you the wood glue and clamp FOC.
The anchoring screw on the right side is the one that is chipped, as you can see above. Just needs to be replaced.
The guitar comes with a non-original hardcase. I will also throw in a bronze-colour Tree-of-Life inlay sticker that I was going to use on it. Price is $600 non-negotiable. Please do not sms me with ridiculous prices with reasons why I should comply.
