Got a Keeley Rat 2 to let go. This is what how I experienced it.
I used to wonder how guitarist like Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead and Nel Cline from Wilco get their guitar to sound big and forceful in their mix, besides utilizing their studio equipment, I have researched and found out they have a common distortion pedal. I decided to try the Keeley Rat 2.
Its range of tones are wide and useful. When I needed to pierce through the mix, the Keeley-modded Rat 2 have excelled in this area and maintain my guitar's tone.
The Keeley mod enhanced a lot of the features in the Rat, increased bass response, clarity, tube-like tones, complex characteristic in the signal.
