Remarks: If you're into the relic look but can't justify the cost for a Fender Custom Shop relic, this might be perfect for you. I think that the relic job is authentic and does not look cheesy at all. Really great for the price. Fantastic looking guitar, I always thought that just the look alone is win.
Quite a well liked guitar among the online community, do a google.
Has a thinner C-shaped neck profile, so it fits the Asian smaller hand profile better and its much more comfortable when doing the SRV/ Hendrix thumb-over grips.
Since the body has a thin nitrocellulose finish, it really resonates and you can feel the presence of it as the guitar vibrates against the body.
I have tried other pickups on it and still think that the stock Tex Mex pickups works the best for this guitar, it gives that snarly SRV bite to it when driven, and glassy when clean. Fender got it right with this one IMHO.
The guitar had since been upgraded with a bone nut
