1. Mad Professor Ruby Red Booster - S$200
Three-in-one clean boost, treble boost and overdrive. Dial in any three, any way you want. You can imagine how versatile this thing can be, to kick your amp or to sweeten up clean lines by adding treble. PLUS this thing comes with a high-quality buffer (toggle-able, can be switched to true-bypass) to run your signal through a long chain of pedals without losing tone. Incredible value for money, this pedal is.
2. Mad Professor Mighty Red Distortion - S$200
Higher gain pedal, the Mighty Red is Mad Professor's take on the Marshall-in-a-box pedal. Growly, hairy and very chunky, the Mighty Red lets you dial in rip-roaring 80s-style distortion while retaining note definition.
3. JHS Moonshine - S$230
Very, very thick and girth-y, the Moonshine is quite the unique overdrive loosely based on the classic TS808 circuit. It boasts an internal transformer that takes your 9v power supply and converts it to 18v, giving your tone extra kick that you won't feel from other 9v pedals. The "Proof" toggle switch switches from a smoother, mid-hump-ish drive in the down position that's great for boosting lead lines to a bold, crunchy drive reminiscent of a cranked amplifier.
4. Paul Cochrane Timmy - S$200Famously used by Nigel Hendroff on the Hillsong records, the Timmy provides clear, transparent overdrive perfect for church/post-rock applications. The Bass/Treble cut knobs are very useable and provide a wide range of tones. Works well as a boost too.
5. Suhr Shiba Drive - S$220Organic, touch-sensitive overdrive with a hint of compression that is very pleasing. 3 clipping modes allow for a wide range of tones, from smooth, compressed leads to open and lush overdrive. Very useable tones across all settings.
6. Keeler Push - S$230Crazy, crazy underrated overdrive. Fattens up strats while keeping note definition, and roars with a very lush and very open drive. Has a distinct bite to it that cuts through well and lends your tone edge. Great for both big, open chords or singing, sustaining leads. I'll probably be missing this one the most.
