When Japanese guitar makers started to beat the quality of the American they eventually launched their own designs.
One of the most successful designs is the Aria SB-1000 bass.
Tiptop design, superb craftmanship, beautiful tonewoods and great, in-house electronics created a legend that was the choice of Cliff Burton of Metallica, John Taylor of Duran Duran and Neil Murray of Black Sabbath and Whitesnake to mention but a few.
The bass up for sale is NOT a re-issue and in black with visible thru-neck it is one of the rarest options. This particular bass is in excellent, original condition and amazing for a bass almost 30 years old. Google it and you will discover a huge following.

Built 1984, excellent, original condition, collectors' quality
Body: Sen (japanese ash variety) wings, black nitrocellulose finish
Neck: 5-piece maple/walnut thru-neck, ebony fretboard with 24 large frets and brass nut

Electronics: Aria active electronics with rotary switch
