Hmm as long as you play during the day should be okay la. I use a Laney AH100 which I bought from Yamaha for $319, its loud as hell but so far no complains. BUT. The MS50DR subwoofer damn strong. I played my friend's DTX550k once, the moment I play the bass drum, the wall shook and I heard his aircon vibrate against the wall. No exaggeration.

I should forget about the MS50DR since it is too loud.
Can your Laney AH100 be used on my DTXplorer?
Maybe I should buy something of a lower watts.

Hmm its not too loud la, just that the frequency range is better so it reproduces the bass drum better. and its damn shiok to play! Not to mention the 2 satellite speakers make the sound more "3-dimensional". Like, whats on the left side will sound like it comes from the left, the bass drum comes from the floor, the right side (ride, floor toms) will come from the right satellite speakers. My AH100 can definitely be used with your DTXplorer. But its a keyboard amp though so the freq response won't stretch til as low as the MS50DR, means the bass drum loses a little bit of low freqs. You can come over to my place to try out the AH100 though.

Like that can consider buying. Yamaha stocks coming in mid March.
Maybe one of this day will come over and jam with you bro. hehehe.

Yeah haha. Or if you think the subwoofer too strong, can opt for the MS40DR. The woofer not so strong, but won't be as shiok as the 50. No prob man haha

Hehe sounds good. Thanks for all the info. Cheers..........

Bro, I went to Yamaha store to test both. MS40DR is good enough for me.
MS50DR too powerful like you said. Bought the MS40DR @ $405.
Thanks anyway for the info. You the man. Cheers...........
