Hi all. My 14 year old son is into everything musical right now and plays guitar and harmonica and some percussion and is now wanting to try bass (yep, that's a gloating father for you! 
. He'd like to buy a bass and amp but not invest too much as he doesn't know how long this interest will last (yep, that's the Dad's accountant speaking...).
He's in love with the Fender Precision but he doesn't have that kind of money (nor do I). Maybe a Squire version? He liked the simple SX Vintage he played the other day.
