[WTA] what type of onboard active pre. available in sg

downsizing my board that means my outboard pre (hartke vxl) need to go. using a passive wick taranis and i need some sort of decent onboard pre with a killswitch prefered. got 3 knobs Vol - Blend - Tone.

any recomendations much love all \m/

i've been running around way too much and even a pt-jr is a pain.

there's ACG and John East, as well as audere on board pre amps u can get from cherns at rdmgear.com

you can probably ask tymusic to bring in the sadowsky on board pre also.

Davis has the aguilar ones.

tymc should have the onboard aguilars oso. i heard from a softie who used to be active here that the DB924 is very very transparent, so their onboard preamps should be transparent as well

thats what i need something very transparent, the warwick forum seems to be down so can't ask the guru that what works. heard some pre killed the wick growl, etc..etc..

Can't recommend Aguilar preamps enough... I have a DB924 and OBP-2. If you're looking for something that lets your natural tone show, you can't go wrong with Aggie stuff. I've heard people say it's polite, but I haven't come across a situation like that yet. If you're looking for something with a little more "activeness", go for Sadowsky

+1 on the Audere.

I have a Classic 4 on my bass. Awesomeness. Full-bodied tone without being muddy and i have enough headroom to tweak my EQ as and when needed.

aggie opb-3 is out of stock and only availabe in aug, very pain need to stack vol/vol, bass/treble and mid cos my bass got 3 knobs *grinz*

haha, yea. it does the job, but found it inconvenient mostly because there's no volume boost on it. i've only tried the outboard preamp tho
