wrong strings?

I was told to use very light strings on my flloyd rose equipped guitar. I have been using daddario 009s for a while, and just bought a pack of ernie balls. they just say 9-42...are they 09s or 009s? Or are they the same thing? Can use on my S-series ok?

they're the same thing. unless of course you managed to procure a pack of microscopic strings 1/10 of the size of normal .09s :lol:

Ahh.. Well mero you do always get a microscopic size of strings..

They are 0.009 inches.

9-42 refers to 0.009 - 0.42

Floyds can take 10's as well. I think up to 11-52. Though you'd have to completely resetup the whole guitar, because the floyd is extremely EXTREMELY sensitive to even different string brands of the same gauge.

Yeah, floyds can take up to quite thick stuff, but a saber with a wizard neck? I rather not risk it.

Some SOFTie tired putting some .14s on his Saber. Lesson? Never do it to a guitar with a 17 - 20mm thick neck.

All the strings suddenly popped out of the ZR trem. Good thing nothing was broken.

lol, im not familiar with ZR trem designs, do you mean all the strings popped out of the lock blocks, perhaps he didnt lock em tight enough. happened to me on a few occasions when stretching my strings up heh.
