Wish for Roland ARX Expansion

Roland unveiled the V-Piano during the recent NAMM Show. It's something never found in a hardware keyboard. Let's hope Roland will turn it into an ARX expansion for the Fantom G which I'm sure will be a hit.

Anyone knows which softsynth offers such similar technology?

I won't be surprised if the future of hardware synths would advance from emulating instruments sounds by wave sampling to the integrating of characteristics that make up an instrument...V-guitar, V-sax, V-woodwinds, etc? :)

Pianoteq uses similar modelling technology. It's not bad, but compared to top piano libraries, it's still a little away. The best thing about it is the small memory footprint.

I don't think it's possible to make V-piano into ARX. The modelling technology does not exist in the Roland Fantom. It will require hardware changes.

However, although the V-piano is really an interesting and exciting development, in real life, I doubt many will want to fiddle too much with the type of strings in the piano, the type of hammers in the piano etc. We'll probably have about 5 favorite settings that will be used again and again.

Actually, I like physical modeling too. Properly, I do pop or modern music, so don't care too much about authentic piano sound.
