so..i got myself a '03 epi LP. And being the curious type, i got hme and begin to open up all the cavities etc to take a look..to my surprise, i saw this in the control cavity. being a noob when it comes to wirings, can anyone here tell me what does this "connector" do? is it just like any normal wiring method? :)

This is actually quite common in the newer Epiphone Les Pauls that I've opened up. Most if not all Epiphone Les Pauls have a generic wiring. That connector thing actually saves time and effort to solder all the wires to their respective points. However if you want to change to a different style of wiring (yes there are different types of Les Paul wirings), that thing has to be replaced by regular wires (goodbye convenience).

In any case, this connector thing is nothing out of the ordinary so there is nothing to worry about.

ah..thanks for the reply, was thinking of the same..convenience sake...qns arise cos this is the 1st time i saw wiring done this way.
own a couple of newer epis, but none of them was wired this way haha
