Will dimarzio crusiers sound too trebly on alder body?

Hi,

I'm planning to upgrade my single coil neck pickup on my American strat. I somehow feel the single coil is a bit "weak" and spuds thin.

Thought of replacing it with a dimarzio cruiser pickup but I saw the tonechart of the pickup:

Bass: 4
Mids: 5
Treb: 8

Will it sound too bright (those ear screeching) on my alder body guitar?

I'm looking for a smooth sweet warm tone, close to petrucci or that sort.

What do you guys think?
