Hey guys, My name is Cooper and I am new to the forum (and to Singapore), just moved here from the UK!!! I have been running shows since I was 17, so over two years now, and have put on over 80 different acts from around the world in 3 different cities in the UK... Now I am here I want to get things going out here and would love to put one of my favourite (and I think could well be your new favourite) band's on out here...the awesome THIS TOWN NEEDS GUNS

They have just released their debut album, 'ANIMALS', on Big Scary Monsters (UK) and Sargent House (USA) as well as having other releases on Rallye/Klee (Japan) & Yellow Ghost (Australia)...So yeah...I have said enough for now...so just go check them...

I bought their album in Japan for a friend then checked out their stuff on Youtube. Really amazing material. And i love their song titles cause they're really random and funny. Lol. Added you on Myspace anyway! :)

Great news :)

Need to get a lot of people involved...

They would be going up to K.L. and then either across to Australia or Japan (to play shows with the awesome Kyte and Toe)

Any ideas of bands that could work well with these guys?

I have one band in mind...they are instrumental...

For the other I am after something quite lively,

:)

i think AgingYouth was referring to the term, Et Cetera haha

Yes, Etc-band people should be more cautious if they think they saw their bandname when the word comes at the end of a sentence.

As for the term, Et Cetera -- that's how the band Etc refer to themselves. But the lad from Sheffield should know the Singaporean habit of making acronyms out of many things as possible. Thus 'Etc' get called 'Eat Tease Sea' by some. Which is daft since it's not less syllables than 'Et Cetera'.

It's also led to confusion with the accent too: been told that Etc is playing a show when it's actually: A.T.C. ... who turn out to be:
ATC is amateur takes control

By eck. Half of Etc was made in Crosspool, Sheffield, Yorks by the way. But it's been a while.
