hey, were you there for the drumfest? Because Tan Boon and Tan Boon Gee are totally 2 different person.. just that the first 2 name really is the same.. haha..

Sorry, I was at the drumfest, but a very "MAN" stuff though I love drums.

I have no idea man.. all I can say is thats what passion is all about I guess.. concerning where he plays, I have no idea too, but the last time I checked the the website of Singapore Drumfest, theres a short introduction of him as one of the judges and apparently he plays in a percussion band called "The Strikeforce" - www.myspace.com/strikeforcesg

oo, just a student that loves drums and music haha, pictures?? In the Strikeforce Myspace, the first video clip showing a person soloing.. thats him.. I met him at the Singapore Drumfest and also caught him busy signing stuffs.. hes really a nice guy..

Hahahaha yes they are totally 2 different person Bro. Tan Boon is the Director of DrumFest & US Studio also....and he not only play the drums - I heard he is an Instructor (He didn't told me that - I met a Semi-Finalists Under 21 Cat Drummer - He told me - My Instructor is Tan Boon).....He must be good though I have never seen Tan Boon play in person.

Hi to you guys out there, Im new to the forum...
I attended the second day of SG Drumfest 2007.I must say it was a really impressive event that required quite a few bit of $$ and effort to put together, so kudos to Tan Boon, Nigel and the guys who made it happen
I thoroughly enjoyed the event, especially the drum battle between our two finalists of open cat, and of course the smokin battle right at the end btw Tony Royster, Gorden Campbell and Jimmy. I personally felt Jimmy held his own against both of them but what he lost out in was in that he was not as loud as both of them.... In my opinion, it was a masterstroke to include a local drummer like Jimmy as one of the performers as it does help to create awareness and promote our local greats... Hopefully, there'll another local pro in Drumfest 2008, maybe Tama anyone?
And oh yes, glad to have found this forum, and looking foward to exchange tips and learn from you guys here...

RD - the City Harvest Church service at Expo. my friend goes to dat church and she told me he takes turns with the other drummers to play.
er..jus a note: this is all from my friend lah, so there might be a bit of miscomm or lack of clarification, i duno. i'm jus sharing the little bit that i kno, hoping it will help.
