Which?

i say get the cube.
can save on effects too since ur not gigging (i assume). somemore BOSS effect leh!
haha.
but seriously the cube 20x is awesome and im using it :D

If i were to get 15x would there be any difference besides the effects since i dont really need them and im planning to get pedals in the future anyway.

side-note: you people do sure reply fast. haha
Info on the rough cost on the repair would be appreciated too.

I only know difference between 15 and 30 is the eq. if 20 has eq then thats the main diff. Output diff thats all lorz.

Repairs costs you gotta send to a shop to vet first. Need to know extent of damage before quoting.

Its just abit of wood chipped off from the hole, thus cause the screw to be loose when put in. Anyone know if this is gonna be expensive?

Dude, superglue some toothpicks on the inside of the hole and screw the screw back in. The extra wood will allow the screw threads to grip properly.

If you are keen on an SG, save up for a G-400 at the very least. The SG Specials are bolt on, have rather anaemic pickups and may not be an improvement in quality over your current guitar. 600 or so should be able to get your a G-400 Vintage (check guitar reviews forum), which has pretty decent pickups.

Another option would be to upgrade the pickups on your current guitar (I recommend the SD JB/Jazz set for $165 at Davis) and buy the amp.

Ok so following all your advice, i think i'll try the toothpick thing and upgrade both my pickups and amps. Any recommendations on pickups and would they replace it for you?(guitar noob here)
