Hi, sorry for another one of such post. But I just want to look at some views of you guys...

I'm currently using a Korg AX1500G and felt that it had too ''óptions''. Too many tone choices, too many functions. What I actually need is just a nice overdrive, some delay and reverb, volume pedal, and Auto-WAH that doesn't lack depth. And I wouldn't want to spend that much since I'm still a newbie (started 10 months ago). But I hope to get something that would be good enough for me to use it at least for 2-3 years.

Above are just some of the models I have in mind. Budget is around $300 or less. Somewhere there. Might get a second hand.

I also would like to know if the Line6 Floor Pod has an Auto-WAH function. Or is it just a Vox-Wah controlled by the expression pedal. If you are currently using one of the models above, or once used, please share your thoughts and views with me. Or maybe you might have other recommandations.

Thanks alot guys...

hei bro i suggest u stick with korg ax 1500 , i have korg ax 1000 (older version of korg ax1500) for me its the most versetile multi effects pedals.

the pedals do not need any hastle for setting up the tone that u desire . i use it for 6 year and have been working very good for me.

honestly after selling the pedals to change over to single pedals . if i got money i will buy back the korg but its ax3000 of course hehehe , going to try something new .

Bump for the pedals and the threads !!! 8)

yeah man, im using an ax1500g. best shite ever and damn versatile also. dun sell la since u say u are newbie then why are you selling it to buy something more expensive?

i have a different take on this.

since you are on a budget, why not invest in an amp with those features? i'd suggest you give VOX's DA5 an audition- it has everything you specified, less the volume pedal:

$300-$185= $115 i'm sure this amount will get you a decent volume pedal 8)

thats right ... since i start i use the korg ax 1000 and compare to the rest , of course podxtlive and boss gt6 is much more better in terms of function. but its very hard to get the tone u like . Korg ax 1500 is juz turn the knob here and there and thats it ... u get the tone 8)

Heh brother subversion, i appreciate your thoughts. But I don't think I can afford to get another amp... Then must sell my current Laney MXD30 ... might not get a good price also... Furthermore, what I need is actually an effect pedal so I can bring along to jam. Have you tried any of the above?

Guys, maybe its just me ... but I feel that the Auto-WAH isn't good enough. Doesn't work only high notes. Pretty strange. I love the delay and reverb. And some of the distortions. Why am I spending more? Because I feel that I should get a pedal that focuses on just a few effects. Better sounding. Rather than having lots of effects like acoustic emulation, compressor and talk which i don't use.

I did abit of research and found that there're actually less negative reviews for Zoom G2.1u as compared to my Korg AX1500G. And I think the Floor Pod is a relatively new product, there're not many reviews.I would appreciate if anyone who have had experienced with any of such 'lower-end' multi efx to share their views, in terms of tone/recording/ease of use/function. Just wanna hear from you guys...

so you already own an amp you like, that's good to know...

yes i've tried some of the above-listed units, but i have no particular comments...the Floor POD was the latest i've tried; i don't have much time for something missing a midrange control...

anyway, the Zoom G models are quite a bargain, especially when it's on sale (City Music) + free recording software 8)

Boss ME 50 seems to be getting the most votes so far....

I used to own it and I think its better than the Korg Ax1500G it replaced.

Its user friendly, it almost makes you feel like you are using individual stomp boxes with the knobs and all, the OD's aren't that great, but the modulation is good enough for Live work.,,accessible tuner, with built in volume pedal, step harder and it becomes a wah, the reverb is very sensitive and if not careful ,can get unusable sounds...The Wah sounds so so la, best thing about this unit is that it is made to go with your amp, no amp modelling hoo ha needed, thats why I loved it.

the boss me 50 alone has earned me alot of money last time ok... :D And the ME 50 more or less made me understand effects better, since it was so easy to use and add the effects(modulations) into my main sound.

For beginners and semi professionals to muck around with at home, i think its a good deal IMHO.

:D

CHEERS!

snuffleupagus, thanks a lot for the review.
But among all the pedals above, ME-50 cost the most ma -_- ... It should be better. Should be. Haha.

Thanks for all the replies...

How about Zoom G2.1u and Floor Pod?
Has anyone tried Korg AX1500G for recording? How was it?
