Which jam studio is the best?

Beat Merchants used to be a good studio for me mainly due to its pricing, operating hours, equipment, room size and location. However the quality has since drop due the equipment is not really taken care of now and has that "stale air" that most older studio experience (due to unchanged carpet and air-con never servicing)...

Forgotten all about Wee Lee. What are their operating hours? Till 10pm isit?

yup.. tts wat i tot too... the amps r reli horrble nw. tts a turn off for me oreadi.

weelee aljunied operates till 11pm bro

Odiocrib is good. worth the money imo. The jamming place at Simei is good if you're on a budget. lol:mrgreen:

Can say also lah.. But, sometimes, i find beat merchants is no good, especially for the room upstairs... Hahakz..

Ermm haha the top room very very hulu.. I prefer the bottom level room at beats. The lighting is very warm. Makes good atmosphere when jamming..

About weelee.. Haven been jamming there about 2 years now? Haha, the guitars displayed there are filled with cobwebs. :???:

Something I would like to share with you regarding this topic. Back in the 1990s, I jam at Lee Kwong Seng, they operated at Yishun Chong Pang. that place is great. very hospitality and good equipments. *Lee Kwong Seng is still functioning at Yishun.

Then soon after i tried jamming at Boon Studio because a member of the band moved to the east. Boon Studio (near Potong Pasir MRT) is good also but sadly up till now the spiral cymbals is still there. But the amps is great. Boon Studio is still functioning near Potong Pasir MRT.

After Boon, I jammed at Retrocafe (Kembangan) a place where great musicians hang out, Impiety, Decius, Lili Slam, Ramli Sarip, etc. Been jamming there for quite a while before it closed down.

Went jamming at Jammerzpit (Bedok) because Impiety used to have a room there and since I am a big fan of Impiety decided to jam there and asked for advice and tips from the guys. Jammerzpit is best known for its gigs but sadly the studio is terminated.

I.J Studio (near Geylang Lor 101) was next to jam. I.J Studio is the seven wonders of Singapore because a lot of vietmanese ladies were hanging around the area. So it was a nice experienced for me. Unfortunately I.J Studio closed down.

Then I went to To Megatherion (Peninsula Shopping Centre) owned by Lord Shyaithan (Impiety) and Lord Jani (Nuctemeron), the drum is the best drum ever. Met great and friendly musicians like Ironfist. Plus a few bands I couldn't remember. Furthermore, while jamming, I can also shop for vinyls LP. To Megatherion changed to a shop owned by Mike Priest. I don't know whether the studio is still on but you can try checking it out.

Next Studio I went to is the Velvet Sounds Studio (near Tekka), owned by Ashraf, a member of Al Grande Terrorristmo and Vehement. One studio only but that studio packed with good equipments. I enjoyed my time jamming there. Unfortunately the studio is no longer there.

For now, jamming at
*Fotools (near Clarke Quay MRT) is great.
*Odio Crib (Waterloo St.) is also great.
*Beat Merchant's have got the cheapest recording in town.
*TNT Studio is also a great place to jam because Ah Boy is the most friendliest dude I've ever met.

But not forgetting bad experiences jamming at
Wee Lee (near Aljunied MRT) because they don't allow Metal music.
Wee Lee (near Simei MRT) because their equipments is bad and my band had to play Metal in acoustic versions.

* For those upcoming bands, you can try rehearsing at my recommendation place. All the best. Cheers and Peace.

the best for me, so far, has got to be, Lcube and FAd! haha. No such problems encountered with them, enjoyed their company and great service!

with regards to wee lee (simei), i think its good for people who are on a budget, small band, strapped for cash, and its also a good place to gauge how u fair with shitty equipments. at least i got to try out their "line of cymbals" they carry, "sound perfect" by WLM. HAHAHA:rolleyes:

"SOUND PERFECT" haha.id like to see a WLM guitar one day. On to the topic,by far, i feel that LCube's the best jamming place to go to. Customer service is there, he always makes us feel like home, not to forget the quality of the equipments and the ambience they have in store! The other place is the newly opened FAD studios, eventhough they only have a single room for jamming, i do feel that its adaquate. The people there somehow insipre me and make me want to jam more. Hahaha.
