Hi Guys, i was wondering which one to buy a Schecter Omen 6 OR an Ibanez RG370DX. i have researched on both and still cant decide on which one to choose. I play Punk Rock and Metal .

I have to say both are technically similar except for their neck profiles.the schecter has a thicker neck than the ibz.

but if i were to choose id go for schecter.i like the les paul-ish neck.

i'd go for the schecter, seems like a better quality instrument anytime.

also more unique.
have you tried them out for yourself?

if you do divebombs-kinda metal, ibanez is the way as there's a tremolo there. for the schecter, it features 24frets. AND I myself feel that ibanez is easier to reach the higher frets because of the 'shaving' of the neck and body that part. But if you prefer a fixed bridge, then go with the schecter (duh) i myself prefer a 24frets and a floyd rose. LOL.

Try them both out personally, then decide which one you like better. Some people like RGs but some people don't (me included. I like the other Ibanez designs, particularly the SA). Safest bet is that you test them both out yourself.

i Havent tried them yet because im a lefty. was planning to order.
and why this 2 because there the 2 most suitable guitars for the gnres i play and they fall into my budget.

thanks for the replies. wait, i think the omen 6 has 1 which comes with a floyd rose.

If you like sleek, smooth shapes then the Schecter will be better. My main issue with the RG is the sharp edges that limit it to metal and shredding. Other than that, the neck's simply awesome.

If you decide on the Schecter, you might wanna get the Omen Extreme 6 rather than the Omen 6.
Price wise, I'm not sure how much difference, can check with Guitar77.

And what's your budget?
You can actually come over and hijack the Schecter thread and ask Schecter questions there too! :)

Hmmm in that case I'd recommend the Ibanez, but consider that I haven't tried a Schecter before. I've heard a mid-range one and wasn't very impressed, so yeah I guess I'd lean more towards the Ibanez.

try it out is the best.i've tried both out and really prefer the schecter.so i guess you'll feel the same too.
