i believe that should get a guitar that your comfortable with and do take note of the wood,
your tone wise can be configured by your pick ups/amps/efx and other slight details
well atleast to me if its an electric the body should just be something your comfortable with

i chose the dinky only because i'm quite a jackson fan and even though i have tried the dxmg, i'm impressed with it because the js series is already quite a beauty to play.
