Where to get leather jackets?

Heya,

anyone knw places to purchase leather jackets, biker type with zipper and chains and stuff, not the thermal insulated type please.
Other designs would also be nice but not the formal looking ones, am seeking wilder fashions here.

not interested in peninsular shops because half the time i feel they're not entirely honest when trying to sell their products.

i don't mind cult, custom-made or designer ones either.
been looking around for quite a while but its pretty hard to find in SG.

LIPS interprise? Though I can't quite remember the name, it's at Far East Plaza, there's like two shops of that kind around the second or third floor right at the back. I think you can get it custom made if they don't sell it.
 
Yup....LIPS & CHEEKS Pte Ltd....always find sumthin unexpected when u shop there...
Although its kinda messy all the time yr after yr..
 
yup, i went there before, but they have limited leather selection (most of the jackets are actually pvc) and very limited sizing.

anywhere else?

Anyway, no luck finding quality jackets here. I've probed every single import/export company and garments factories, with bad results. At least not to my taste. Also depends on your budget :mrgreen:
 
haha, never too hot for leather :P

anyway, yea i saw the ck ones, not what im looking for, budget up to 1k for this.
i like the affliction one but no one carries it.

since u sound like u've toured whole of sg for it, then try looking elsewhere like overseas or online? (if u're certain about your size)
 
well i've toured the places i've been told that have them on sale.
not interested in online pruchases as even if you get the size right, you never know if it looks good on you or not.
 
um image 2001 carries affliction. But not sure if they bring in the leather jackets. Btw, check zara. They're about 500+ if i'm not wrong. I just saw a few in tanjong pinang yesterday. Cheap cheap. Don't know if it's pvc or genuine leather.
O and there's dunhill too. Very very nice design and price.

u sure nice or nt! i dont want those ah pek type, cos i ve been to indo, not pinang and saw the selection is all the ah pek types.
 
Nah. Not ahpek-ish. I'm not sure what that place is called. I'll ask my mom later. The clothes there are pretty decent looking.
 
haha, no time to fly ah, if i had i ll head to thailand already, they have a market full of leather goods there. i bought a few just last year actually.
 
Getting it online can be rewarding. I myself am a huge fan of leather apparels, especially the cropped motorcycle jackets. Bought 4-5 different leather apparels, 3 of them leather jackets, in a span of a few months. Then again, most people don't have much faith in online shopping. Heh, more for me to hoard.

On a side note, GAP in the US was having its leather line a while ago, maybe they might bring it over. My friend mentioned that Banana Republic has leather jackets too

actually ive searched ebay but sometimes very hard to tell, im quite particular bout the design and leather.
Particularly looking for soft sheep leather, not the cowhide with thermal-insulation.

u're lucky u re a girl gracia! there are actually tons of shops that sell female cut motorcycle jackets in SG.
Last week alone i saw about 4 such jackets arnd shops.

I usually shop on Ebay. It's actually easier to find a guy's leather jacket, especially the motorcycle ones. Lots of them are made of lambskin.

There are tons and tons of online leather biker apparel stores, I personally like the brand Unik International. Wilson's leather jackets are huge in the US too, you can find a ton of them on Ebay. Don't buy those from Diamond Plate

PS. I never buy any leather apparels in SG shops.
 
Try Zara . They have a kick ass leather jacket going for 399 and there is Harley of Course. but that is if you are willing to spend. What i Normally do is i ask my friends from Overseas to get The type i'm lookin for and send them over. Overseas has heaps.. try the cooler countries maybe haha
