where to get high quality instrumental/karaoke versions of pop songs?

i've always wondered where do people get the karaoke versions of new pop songs. i'm not looking at youtube, cos the sound quality is really bad. i'm not skilled to create my own either.. and lastly, most of those karaoke versions are not sold in cd stores (only can find old songs).

so where else can i get them? the higher quality, the better. doesn't matter whether it's paid or free.
