Where to get FOAM?

I'm looking to get foam for my DIY drums. I was wondering, anybody know how much and where to get them. No online buys though.

Thanks in advance.

Egg crates aren't foam man, I'm looking for those like spongy ones that can be used for triggering purposes.

is the name spotlight? the one that sells cloth and stuff like that at plaza sing... or you could go to electrical appliances shops... some of them may have peanuts for you... those should work as well as sponge...

Use mouse pads and plastic boards. The classier(and also more expensive) way is the Remo prac pad where you can tune the tension, sorry been out of touch with drum gear for really long but I recall that they used to make such stuff. You can remove the top head, insert the piezo into it and then screw it back on, may need to do some drilling though, for the wiring.

Yes, I get that but I'm converting my real cymbals to e-cymbals for recording purposes. The foam I'm looking for is similar to the ones inside the Remo pads. Thick and spongy.

Then mouse pads should do fine ;) can cut them according to the curve too. Get those cheap ones, I'm sure SLS has lots of those for 'clearance'
