where to buy line 6 pod hd500 online

hey i'm thinking of buying a line 6 pod hd500 but the prices at citymusic are too high according to me.I've seen some online places where they give you discount but i've never really bought anything online so if anyone has ordered it online he can tell about the website and the price too,and about the shipping charges or any other place in sg where they sell it a little cheaper

Due to the size and weight of the HD 500, shipping is going to cost you quite a bit. You do a rough gauge, USD$500 + shipping + buying a local voltage AC adapter instead of the US one = ???
Furthermore, you will not be able to get local warranty.

For most stompboxes I am 100% for buying online rather than local, but for the POD HD 500, you should really reconsider buying from CityMusic. And you can always wait for the end-of-year sales.

Ebay.sg but again u hv to pay tax, shipping, no warranty, 2 - 3 weeks to arrive.

Buy at citymusic if u wan bnew. Or buy used here.

City Music is actually pretty fair on their pricing. If you want to see how overpriced things can get, look at Swee Lee.

well i meant compared to its original price or the online price its pricy but if you include the taxes and customs they paid for getting it in singapore i guess its fair enough

Call citymusic & pray the sales staff on the line doesn't get irritated by your questions or wait patiently.

Btw, I'm not saying that their customer service is bad. Rather, that kinda question would entitle you to that kinda response.

I'm waiting for the sale which should happen late Nov, looking back at last year's dates.

With the HD500 going at S$895 listed, we should be expecting a sale price of S$626.5 or better, hopefully. That's more than a hundred off their current retail at $760.75. Buying one from say, Sweetwater.com would be US$500 - that works out to be S$650, before their S&H which would be another S$50 at least. Depending on the declared value, you will likely end up with S$650 + S$50 + S$50 (customs charge by courier) = S$750.00 at the very least together with a wait time of 5 days.

I am not sure about the support from Citymusic, though should you encounter the frequently reported errors from forums. It is comforting to know that you can inspect the Pod at Citymusic upon purchase to ensure that it works alright before bringing the baby home.
