Where to buy a good cheap drum kit?

Hello, welcome to SOFT.

You can check out the Buy/Sell for Drums for 2nd hand sets. Cheapest would be the Carlos brand which I own it too.

If you want first hand, try Ranking Sports & Music at Bras Basah Complex. I last seen their Carlos set is going for $550

Carlos lousy, don't buy Carlos.

Get secondhand. Or get Gretsch maybe. Don't know if the Black Hawk is still in stock... last I saw it was $800+, pretty decent.

Carlos is lousy? at least for me, my 2nd hand set good enough for home practice.
For $550 you get the drums, cymbals set, pedals and throne. But if you can afford more than that, I recommend NOT getting Carlos if you can. I am personally aiming for a Yamaha set when my cashflow sets in. :) Hope my info helps.

yea i agreed wad Alvin93 said

yea really funny when ppl say carlos suck ? lousy ? bad ? carlos is good in my opinion. same goes to all brandless drum or wad.. Tune it correctly and Get Good Drumheads and ur drum kit will sound very good.

Yeap, myner, nice sounding drums and cymbals! And your play too, it rocks.

Sorry for my previous message, I put it wrongly, I did not want to say Carlos is lousy. My Carlos is giving me the sound I desire, which sounds pretty close to Yamaha Stage Custom which I used in the Yamaha Studios, so I don't see how lousy is Carlos can be. It boils down to the heads and tuning them. :)

U can find second hand one..I got a Tama Stagestar(Full set with throne)..Going for $550..if u wan can let me know..haha..if not..can go music theme..they selling carlos full set for $699 if u dun mind carlos cause it was bad..

er. dude do you know what wood Tama imperial star and Pearl Forum drums which cost about the same as Carlos, or maybe even more expansive, are made from Poplar. Which is the same wood used to make carlos drums anyway.

I'm not advocating carlos. Nor am I shunning Pearl or Tama. But its good to know what you're paying for.
