Where should I place the Noise Gate

Hi softies, I'm just wandering if you guys did experience using noise gate. May I know where is the best position to place it, after guitar or after all the effects(before amp)?
Right now what is the most effective noise gate or suppressor in the market?

Hi , the noise gate could be placed in 2 places.

1) right after your drives and before the modulation
2) in your amp's efx loop

the signal will run from your guitar into your drives , modulation then delays. placing it after the drives and before the modulations will eliminate noises from your drive pedals effectively without altering the sounds from your modulation pedals.

There are various ways to line up your effect pedals. there is no correct way. however this is the most conventional way.

Guitar -> Drive -> Modulation -> Delay -> Amp

there are various noise gates in the market you could look at

1) Boss Ns-2
2) Mxr Smart Gate
3) ISP Decimator

As for how effective , you have to go test it yourself. every pedal is different

u should take a look at the Beta aivin NG-100.. very effective and cheap!

the most effective noise suppressor imo, is lowering down the gain.. and it doesnt cost a cent
