Where is the best place to find accurate tabs? i heard 911tabs can search for all other website but some are not a accurate. hmm...

best is if u search from all over and compare. mysongbook.com is a pretty good site, since it actually plays the MIDI version and shows on the display where the song is at that moment. but u'll need guitar pro for that. also, u might wanna try mxtabs.net

basically all the main tab sites has been listed down here.
best you can do is search at 911tabs and then look at the most rated tabs.
another is guitar pro tabs. the tabs should be accurate enough coz the person is confident enough to make the gp file.
but nothing beats u'r own tabs. try tabbing the song u'rself. you can change it however you "hear fit".
hope that helps.

Powertabs are pretty damn good.

You can insert a tempo marker and slow things down working them out bit by bit. By midi makes slides and bends sound like crap.

Also don't take internet tabs or any other tabs lock stock and barrel.

Errors are widespread.

The best thing to do is use your ears, you'll figure out the song and at the same time train your ears, the most valuable resource to a musician.

by having trained ears, does it mean that you'll know exactly at which frets a riff/lick is played just by listening to it? And knowing exactly what scale/mode a lick is comprised of upon first listen.
Or do you mean having a rough idea of its position on the neck? And then working it out by trial and error.

I am only adept at No.2 at this point.

the most acurate tabs can be done by... errr... no...

learn to read scores... than buy some song books or d/l some scores... scores are usually more accurate than tabs

I would say that by using your own ears rather than just blindly following something on tab is a much better way to learn.

Like I said you learn not just the song, but also train your ears.

Train your ears in the sense that your perception of musical intervals (distance or more rather relationship between 2 notes) would be much better than the guy who just plain reads tabs. This is even more effective when it comes to chords and not just leads. Leads are probably the easiest to hear, single note type lines, but think about how it is when you're hearing chords when 3 or more notes are played at the same time.

but when you are starting out, you could be completely wrong, so it's better to have a piece of accurate tab beside you for reference.

i thot scores r the 99% accurate ones :? coz thtz how mozart n all noted down their compositions, no? I mean..itz the written language of music.

for confirmed accuracy of tabs, buy original tab books by the artistes themselves. expensive, but worth it. includes guitars, bass, drums even sometimes.

Tab is onli a guideline... its just there for u to figure out the stuff u don't quite get or get some new ideas.... what i suggest is you get the chords tab... the one wif no lines one... just chords... once u get the overall rhythm of the song den u try to go in bit more in depth by listening and figuring out ..... trains your ears and also helps u get more flexible with your playing... you'll soon realise tt one song can be played many ways... and soon u can find your own style of playing which lets u own the song you are playing.
