where do you guys get your music from???

was at hmv the other day and the prices for some not-so-mainstream stuff was ridiculously high! lyk 40-50 bux for a cd, juz wondering where do you guys get your music from? (assuming of cos you're a law-abiding person)

yeah HMV is just crazy, i've only bought one album from them (octavarium cuz i cudn't wait for other stores to have it).

I like to get my CDs from grammaphone, sembawang (yes! they carry rock and other stuff too! not just pop!) and whenever i see discounts. like i got 3 Jamiroquai albums at 45 total =) cuz each was like 12 or so.

as for obscure stuff, try ONLINE. ship in bulk, like 10 CDs at a time perhaps. the @%*$(^ thing is that u gotta pay GST.

it depends on the CD actually ..... if u're saying that it's not a mainstream stuff ... so i suspect that it's an imported CD ... and if it's from japanese it'll be higher .. cuz the price of CD in japan is high... korean version usually is cheaper.

if it's mainstream ... usually they will produce it and it'll be around 20

and usually if it's not mainstream ... it's that high ... hahaha

my japanese CD and dvd is sooo ex .... ='( .... but i love them ... mwahahaa

the gramophone factory outlet near pennisula plaza carries alot...hmv dun hav gnr's appetite 4 destruction but there gt...n gt alot of vinyl records oso....n oso veri cheap..i buy the cd at 13 bucks oni...

THAT CD SHOP is one of the places you can ask for special orders too.

The lovely ladies there managed to help me get hold of a couple of out-of-production CDs. And they don't charge extra. The ladies charge me the same shelf price if it was still in production. :wink:

To Megatherion at the top level of Peninsula is a great place for lovers of extreme metal. Have a very wide range of merch and cds alike. Very friendly staff as well too.

Anybody knows where I can get do orders for puchases on indie bands? I'm specifically looking for a place where I can get or order Pineapple Thief cd or merch from.
