Where can i setup my guitar?

hi subversion, thanks for your offer but i stay in jurong area has been following your blog awhile already and im amazed by the amount of guitar you owned! and it makes me drool all over.
btw my fren brought his guitar for a simple setup and it cost him $100 isit normal?
he brought his own string to change essentially what the shop done to his guitar was:
1: clean up the guitar (wipe the front, put some oil on the fret board, spray some lub in the electronic)
2: add 2 orange drop
3: restring the guitar, didn't do any intonation
4: slightly adjust the neck
i think that all these stuff doesn't add up to $100, and he gave him "$5 discount" and "1 mth" warrenty to the orange drop.

and imho, it's not worth it. should've brought my guitar to malcolm instead.

Beez does it; his setups are by feel and I like how the guitars respond after that.
At Penin itself I prefer going to Mike at SV or Scott at Sound Alchemy. Both tend to use a more precise setup method (with calibration instruments and such). Although the feel is supposed to be 'perfect' I don't really favour it for some of my guitars.
Of course at Penin itself there's also other shops like TY, G77, Davis and Maestro that can setup.
One shop which I just started going to because I personally feel that the set-up is the best is Guitar Workshop at Bras Basah. They really do a good job on their set-ups.
Do note most of the setups mentioned tend to start at 40 bucks and goes upwards depending on bridge type. Installation of orange drops I'm not sure how much since I personally believe it is overrated here in SG and that they don't work with fuzzes. Only setting up at Malcolm would cost you $140 onwards but (no offense to the other guys) his intonation and such is top notch. He can make a newly set-up guitar even better.

Why not give our friendly moderator which stays near you a try? believe he is experience enough to do set ups (with his amounts of guitars hee) ??

+1 to this. Investing in a good amp will make a far greater improvement in tone compared to modding guitars.

i don't do electronics stuff, just some simple set up... thought i could help you save some money with the set up bit- then you spend the rest on orange drop istallation + still have spare change
