do it yourself ... i think you'd care more for your bass than the person who you'll pay to handle your bass .. hahah ..

but seriously ... i think it's hard to match the top quality with low cost ...

anyway ... try Guitar Worskshop at bras brasah ...

NO! dun varnish your warwick!!

is it a natural oiled or stained finish?

read up the warwick forums. the kind folks there always love to refinish their basses and have realy good tips and suggestions.

i have a stained finish, want to convert to oil finish

had a quote for 300 chf in switzerland, with the cheaper labour here i would expect good quality for sgd 300.

thanks for the tips, guys :)

it would be pretty impossible to convert it to a natral oiled finish simply beacuse the stain has already seeped into the wood. to do that you have to sand down your bass quite a bit. losing lotsa wood.

but maybe, just maybe you can sand down the satin finish so that your colour is not lost. but you will lose the uneveness of the wood grains. thats one of the parts that make warwick sexy.

Dude, in reply to ur yamaha problem with the nut(the thing that holds the strings) the only way is to bring down to their service centre at Paya lebar.
Their nuts are special fits so u can't just buy the 50cent ones from sweelee or davis and stuff them in. U have to get the yamaha ones. And it will cost you a little over $5.
