ok so today i went for a jamm session.
everything was ok until suddenly my guitar sound starts to fade out.
so anione have any ideas abt this problem?

maybe you accidentally turned off the amp? cos if i recall with someone playing the guitar and the amp just gets turned off, the sound will fade. tried the guitar on other amps?

nope.the amp is still on.
and yes i tried the guitar on other amp.and it stills the same.

There is a wire soldered to the cable jack. Unlikely that it could be broken unless the soldering job is not done well. Your jack might also be faulty.

are u using any pedals?
haha, maybe its the power supply of the whole room leh, sometimes i jam my amp the light will start to flicker, and the lamp also..
haha, sometimes the light will off then on again, and theres a picture of bob marley in the studio.. maybe it was the ghost of bob marley telling us not to play metal

i do have the same problem somehow. i was jamming half way thru and out of sudden, nothing came out from the amp. i tried plugging the jack in/out, connect/disconnect my pedals until everything went back to normal. at 1st, i thot it was the studio's amp. but it happened again on the other jamming session in another studio.

until now, i still can't locate the fault, dunno it's the prob with my guitar or my pedals.
still waiting for the intermittent fault to become permanant, before i could troubleshoot.

haha... for me yeah.. but cool studio though, just that the light thing was kinda creepy and bob marley was like staring at me.. hmm.. haha. but kinda inspirational to jam with these type of posters/carpets hung on wall... they should put like kirk hammet or someone else posters in studios sia.. inspire the guitarist to shred

try changing amps? checked
try changing guitar cable? ......
try switching pickups? .......
check guitar volume? .......
if active pickups, try changing batteries? ......

>liangerism: try playing straight to amp and using pedals? if pedals fault, try using pedals one by one.

i'm still trying to find out which of the 2 is causing the fault. it's an intermittent problem. doesn't happen everytime. so gonna wait till the next time before i could troubleshoot.
