what's the problem with the semi acoustic?

i've got a JnD semiacoustic and it distorts when i play. it feeds on a 9v batt but then the batt's new. i've changed it anyways and it still distorts. besides, lowbatt would make the guitar sound go on-and-off and NOT distort it eh?

it's running from a DIbox but then direct in also gives the same problem.
isit the pickup?

Have you tried to plug it to another guitar/bass amp to test it out. If it still distort, then I think the preamp inside got problems. You can bring it to me to check it out.
