What's the market like for vocal recording and...

hi, would like to have opinions on vocal recording such as voice over, or just perhaps say you want to do a vocal track professionally... would people pay to have their vocal or VO recorded in good quality? If so, they would probably go to a commerical studio right? but what if... what if a home studio is able to provide the same quality as what commerical studio do, or maybe even better at a better rate. I am talking about say 15 % - 20 % of the usual studio rate, would the crowds want to try it?

The same goes for guitar and bass tracks.
