What's the best way to store an acoustic guitar?

Hi guys... ive just bought an acoustic guitar...what's the best way to store it? Should i just leave it in the case? or should i hang it up?

haha... put it in the case when not in use then put 1/2 packs of silica gel to keep the humidity right. and wipe your guitar everytime you finish playing it.

lol it'd make the guitar smell of pee and you know what lahhh. and if you got urgent call you risk knocking over your guitar and getting a shock of your life and doing it in your pants =X

does doing all those help?i always leave my guitar outside but i dont see any diff so far..

but maybe if it's some larrivee or taylor or martin or gibson, u'd better be careful..

Something I learnt from Beez... If you value that acoustic, never bring it out to a campfire by the sea.

its important to have a kapok lying around .. preferably with scribblings with marker or liquid paper ... for playing while prawning... or BBQ... etc.. can eat chicken wing.. dun wash hand then play guitar... wont heart pain..

my taylor gets played alot.. but always gets a wipe down and stays in its case.

An instrument is meant to be played with ..no matter the atmosphere as long as it inspires ... If your instrument is expensive or of sentimental value and you want to preserve it for generations to come than you need this

If not >>> just get a good hard case or gig bag and throw in some "silica gel" ...(remember some..a couple of packs not bag loads) this will keep your AG crisp
