what's left of Rock & Roll? dead?

This topic eludes my senses.. It's a tough question, but it lives in all our hearts... No matter if you r a hardcore metallist, or just a pure jazzist, Rock and roll will always be a part of you... I WISH!

Hahahaha. Edder goes again. :D

My view is that it's still there.

of course. many people ask for opinions but main thing i'm interested in is their opinion to start with.

sometimes what you play is rock n roll, its just you dont realised it...rock n roll = blues = everything

The term Rock and Roll is coined in the 50's starting with Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly and many many more great bands and singers, many people at that time says it is just a fad and will not last. It proves everyone wrong and it just evolve and grew to be bigger, faster and harder and spins off many genre of music now which is basically still rock and roll and thus the saying Rock and Roll will never Die

Long Live ROCK and ROLL

rock n roll has evolved yeah.

so evident with the kids/teens of today digging late 60s, early 70s classic rock like Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Grandfunk....................

its far from dead.

Hmm.

Is that so? I find rock and roll very rejuvinating, and inspiring at times. And i have no urge to kill people or do bad things when I listen to bands like AC/DC, Led Zep, GNR etc.

That said, plenty of rock bands out there are either directly or indirectly influenced by rock and roll bands.

Even punks back in the 70's were influenced by Keith Richards (admittedly more for the swagger than the riffs) even though they were too ashamed to admit it because they were labelling such rock giants as old and passe.

well, u still have bands like Ronin & SpanishFly to keep the rock'n'roll spirit alive.. Fret not my friend..
