hey my reso snare head just got busted. and i've been using the stock batter + reso for quite some time already. now im looking at getting new drumheads to replace the old ones.

so whats a good drum head for a 14" snare? reso and batter haha. and im only looking at evans cause i have discount for them. but hit me with anything haha.

I'd go with the HD Dry batter with a Hazy 300 reso.

Quite standard, works for me. I've got a spare PC Reverse Dot and an ST Dry. Might sell to get Remos, but will keep them for the time being.

Depends on your use...

Batter Head:
More jazzy & resonant -- Evans Coated EC-1 (as Blofeld would recommend), or Coated EC-2.

Tighter & Drier -- Evans Reverse Dot, or Hydraulic

Resonant Head:
Evans G1 clear

My 2 cents ;)

What's your current drum, anyway? Personally on different drums I'll use different heads, although my general multi-purpose solution is either Evans G2 Coated or Remo Coated Ambassador on batter, and Remo clear diplomat or Hazy 300 or equivalent for the reso. I guess that's something that *should* work on most stuff around, an all-rounder.

wow how much do those heads cost ? i was wondering if you guys know which heads would be good for a pearl RT ? thx in advance. i'm still quite noob lol

yo mel, the best head thus far i've heard and only seen in malaysia and brought one over was the EC2 power center reverse dot coated...

haha dunno if thats the correct term, long time never buy heads liao!
