ok..so u all know there's the acoustic guitar and the electrical guitar..
but many people don't really know much about the different types of acoustic guitars..
basically, there are various types..classical, flamenco, folk and more..
so technically, a classical guitar is an acoustic guitar..
many always differentiate between classical and acoustic guitars..
by fact, acoustic guitars that they're referring to is actually the folk guitar..
it's just referred to acoustic guitar nowadays..so that said, there are ways to distiguish these guitars..
1 - a folk guitar(aka acoustic guitar) is generally larger in size compared to a classical guitar..
2 - a folk guitar have strings made of steel whereas a classical guitar have strings made of nylon..
3 - the fretboard of a folk guitar is slightly curved while the fretboard of a classical guitar is straight..
4 - a folk guitar has a head that looks somewhat of an electric guitar whereas classical guitars have a slotted peg head..
in terms of sound..of course there's differences..but remember, aacoustic guitars are guitars that don't use any amplification so classical guitar is in fact an acoustic guitar(as said earlier)
