What songs should a beginner learn and advice?

learn the songs you like or the songs you listen to the most.cause you have more will and passion to learn these songs compared to a song you dont even know.

yeah, that's true..it's better to learn songs that u like..

i want to learn misery business by paramore but im scared its hard.

its not that hard really. jus take all the advice the other softies hav given, for eg. slowing the song down and then slowly speeding it up..

you shud be able to play the song i due time.

i started with green day...

but i agree with dime, it's best if you learned songs you like.

(i like green day, so it wasn't a problem for me ;))

Try Knocking on Heaven's Door (GnR), easy G-D-C chords and solo too. Don't Cry (also GnR) is easy too.

Nirvana songs are good too, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Polly, The Man Who Sold the World.

For some fingerplucking fun, try Metallica's Nothing Else Matters, RHCP's Under the Bridge (tough barre chords here) or Creed's One Last Breathe (extremely satisfying if you can master it!)

The 1st song i learnt was sic by slipknot. it worked for me. but try to avoid drop tuning. when u try to go back to standard itll get a lil hard. try for who the bell tolls by metallica. its a pretty simple song to play. oh and phobia by kreator is pretty simple. the speeds justa lil bit ov a problem when ur a beginner. ull get use to that.

2nd that dime. learn the song u like.

my first song was master of puppets. a song i like till now and beyond! my sis played it like everyday, kept repeating till i memorize. wake up only..''master! master!''

oh i played it on an acoustic. eheheh. was like..5 years ago
