What Power Supply Do You Suggest?

alright im facing an issue as
which power supply is most appopriate
for my usage.

currently,the pedals draw
200mA, 110mA, 95V-120V AC(im not sure thats whats written at ehx reviews),
and lastly,55mA.

i dont want to have to use individual adaptors
as i am now.if there was a solution to this please
do help me.i have seen a number of softies posting
fuel tanks and power bricks and stuff but not
really sure how it works.like isolated outputs
whether they can still be daisy chained and all
basically i need help on a power supply.

whats so special about the one spot?i mean its special characteristics?
ok just some info of the pedals im powering up,
Boss TU-2,
Boss DD-20,
Boss SL-20(soon to get from pedalitis)
EHX Graphic Fuzz.

the dd20 itself is draining lots of energy current for itself.
and i think it needs its own power source.

*my bad* didnt read previous post.

the 1spot can give out 1700mA of power, that should suffice.

The graphic fuzz however, if its AC would require its own adaptor or a converter.

If you want it to be isolated and can output 200MA, then what's available in Singapore is basically the PP2+. Otherwise, the 1-Spot should suffice.

Isolated outputs can be daisy chained but usually each output can supply about 200MA for the PP2+. For the Fuel Tank Jr, it's about 120MA per output. Note that if you daisy chain a particular output, the pedals using that output will cease to be an isolated output.

ah thanks.didnt know that the one spot is that powerful.
guess ill try for that none then.thanks again soft.

sommething i got off a pdf on the EHX graphic fuzz specs.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Power: 95V-120V AC, 50-60 Hz
Input Impedance: 200K ohm
Input Level: 200 mV to 1V rms
Output Impedance: 1K ohm
Output Level: 1Vnom. 7V max.
Overdrive Gain Range: 28 dB
Sustain Time Range: 100ms to 10 sec
Equalizer Controls: ± 15 DB

now will this go along well with a one spot?ah wait, j_m_s pointed out the AC part.guess i still have to run it by its sperate power supply.dang.

hmmm, the spec for the graphic fuzz from their site pdf is meant for US region or any country with voltage rating round 110vac/120vac

and if iam not wrong its also not to mean that the pedal need that amount of voltage as input. If any pedals that need that much power, most likely theres internal stepping down of the voltage to sensible level to power it up.

In local context, our voltage rating is at 230vac 50hz, so if following the power spec in the manual, it would seem like sending 230vac straight from our power socket to the pedal itself. The only thing prolly will happen is a "chao tah"/burnt pedal and sparks all around.

what it mean would prolly be the input for the adaptor(in local context, at 230vac) and output at lower voltage to power the grahpic fuzz accordingly.

anyway, if theres EH own adaptor that comes with the graphic fuzz, take a look at the back of the adaptor. Most if not all the EH adaptor that i have seen all have this info

input: 230vac 50hz
output: xx vac xxx mA

where xx vac denote the numerical AC voltage level that will power the pedal

xxx mA denote the current drawn from the adaptor for proper working.

anyway, for the graphic fuzz, if its the older big enclosure one that came with a 40vdc adaptor, most likely there wont be any mass produced pedal supply in market with that kinda spec. 40vdc adaptor for general effect pedals are almost unheard of and not common at all.

if the graphic fuzz is the newer smaller enclosure one, refer to the back of the adaptor that comes with it and if its

9vac, then most prolly its possible to power it up using onespot with reverse polarity adaptor. But unless really no choice, i wont wanna to mix pedals with different polarity using the same power adaptor. From what i have tried and according to different pedals, theres possiblity of noise/squealing issue.

so in short, if graphic fuzz has its own adaptor, just stick to it or unless theres anyone who can customised isolated power supply according to spec.

ah now thats something new for me thanks man.
regarding the EHX graphic fuzz, yes it is the older version
the silver metal casing one.
here's a little spec list behind the adaptor that i read just
now.

ELECTRO HARMONIX
MODEL : MKD-400100UK
INPUT : 230V AC 50Hz
OUTPUT : 40V DC 100mA

what can you say about this?

heh, i say, stick to the original adaptor.

Iam not sure why is there a need for that 40vdc(as mentioned, 40vdc for pedal is too uncommon and odd), so cant help you much on finding alternative method to power the thing.

for comparison, my laptop need only 19vdc to power up and run. But for a pedal needing that 40vdc, iam kinda lost.

Pardon and paiseh, hehe, cant help much for that

ahaha paiseh for what seh i myself not that sure.
but thanks again man.guess one spot can help
power up the other pedals.

think this product with these specs can serve me?

Specifications:

6 isolated and regulated outlets, all adjustable in steps to 9, 12, 15 or 18VDC each @ 100 mA
All outputs center -
