i agree, the david lee roth period was still the best era of van halen..sammy hagar sounds better on chickenfoot haha hes still a great vocalist tho.

I think Roth & Hagar did a pretty good job with vocals. But the suckiest is of course Gary Cherone!

As for another VH riff, what about MJ's Beat It! (The riff just before the solo) and of course the epic solo.
