What is the different between "Dance", "Techn

Eh...
i can't really distinguish them...

Dance is just a genre term... like rock music. Techno is a sub-genre term like how progressive rock, classic rock is usually sold under the Rock/ Pop section in HMV.

Techno orginated from Detriot if my memory serves me right. And it's gritter and has raw-er sounding beats and pulsating basslines than its mother, House. Anyways, if you need to find out more, I reckon it'll be best if you pop over Exitmusik or Frontal Academy to check it out...

Techno orginated from Detriot if my memory serves me right.

yeap...pretty true regardin the detriot part....3 guys...started it...derrick may..kevin saunderson and another one whom i can't remember....from there they travelled to the UK and to other parts of the US where different forms of techno and other kinds of electronic music(drum n bass..breakbeats..trance) were born....

i'm a trance addict, i'm not quite able to describe why but, it really helps me relax, i can't stand techno, with all those funny singing/high pitched ones. trance sounds much more professional to me.

Hey I feel the same way as you. Live trance mixes just rule. PVD, Tiesto, etc etc.. Our local trance djs are great too, heard of trance republic? I like house too, but I need loud bass and booze to enjoy it. When I'm sober house is annoying.
