What is intonation?

Hello, may I know just what exactly is intonation? I don't really understand. Hope you guys don't mind. And how you adjust intonation on an Ibanez GAX 70? I am really blur about this thing.

Actually it's very simple, just need to know wat to do. It's a matter of moving the saddles back and forth to get the "correct" scale length so your frets will give u accurate pitching.

Intonation basically means ensuring that all the strings when played, either on its own or a a chord, are in 'sync' with each other. In other words, they are all in tune either singular or as a chord.

Juz remember taht u most probably won't be able to get perfect intonation on most guitars, it will be a little bit flat or sharp.
