what guitar to you recommand for a starter like me?

If you dunno wanna spend too excessively, Ibanez's RG series sounds like good buys, so does Epiphone's G-400 or Les Pauls...or you can consider Squier.

of course this depends on your budget, cos i believe in 'what you pay is what you get'. Assuming you buying first-hand only.

take proper care of the axe, and it will last longer. inspect the hardware on every guitar you test out.

also, ask yourself whether you want fixed bridge, Wilkinson-style tremolo (like those you find on Strats, dunno its exact name), or Floyd Rose trem. (I, as a beginner, had more problems with Floyd Rose.)

If you dunno these terms, google them. Learn more about them before you part with your cash.

i believe stating ur budget, music taste, sound, genre would help. u're being very general. most guitars will last long.

Most of the case is "what you pay is what you get" but NOT all the time. :)

1) For your case, I would like to ask what kind of music or which band that have inspired you to pick up your new electric guitar?

2) By answering the above question, you will 1stly, know at least, what kind of guitar your want, or what kind of sound you are looking at.

3) By narrowing your choice of guitar type, ask a guitarist friend, go with u and test it out.

If you want to put it simple, what you pay is what you get, but someone who knows how to test a guitar, a cheaper guitar might much worthy or might be even better than the more expensive guitar. :)

Bring someone who knows to test it out for you.

Any brand, Epiphone, Ibanez, Yamaha, Timbre, Rally etc... have good roses among their mass production. Take your time, don't rush.

You can check out www.stardardvalue.com.sg, I think they have quite good deals on guitar. :)

i recommend for ur price range a yamaha pacifica with the maple fingerboard or an ibanez gio(fixed bridge) cos the edge 3 sucks ballz.or u can save up and get a better guitar which u wont regret buying in the future like a ibanez prestige. :)
good luck choosing!
